PENHA in collaboration with Kent Kindness and the support from the Big Lottery is organsing a one day event on 'Career Advice: To build a more hopeful future for Young Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Kent'. Event details: 

When: Friday October 26, 2018

Time: 12-4pm

Venue: Maidstone Baptist Church (Knightrider St, Maidstone ME15 6LP)

You are invited to our special and free education and career advice event delivered by our dedicated advisors who:

❖  Are/were refugee/asylum seekers like you and managed to build successful careers in the UK

❖  Are ready to share with you their career path and life experience

❖  Speak your language and are from similar cultural backgrounds

At the event you will have the chance to:

❖ Get inspired

❖ Express your views and thoughts about education, career building, immigration, benefits and other issues in your own language

❖ Share your experience and listen to others

❖ Build confidence and learn new skills

❖ And more, including a chance to win a raffle

Who can attend?

Open to any refugee or asylum seeker aged 15 to 21 living in Kent, especially those from the Horn of Africa. Please come and join us for our unique event and meet our special career advisors who can speak your language.
