  Position: Digital Communication Officer

  Date of Internship: 3 months

  Application deadline: June 30th 2017

  Venue: Home-based with occasional visits to the PENHA office in Central London.

 Job Description

 The responsibilities of the Digital Communications Officer will be:

  • Contributing to strengthening the organisational communication strategy
  • Contributing to the improvement of the digital image and presence of the organisation
  • Managing the social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Writing and editing news items
  • Converting the pastoral and agro-pastoral project contents into palatable media content which is easily understood by the readers
  • Increasing the number of followers and supporters across the social media platforms
  • Reporting on and analysing website traffic

Qualifications

The Digital Communications Officer will have:

  • High interest in and understanding of the digital world
  • Ability to work well in a team and to actively engage in planning and review meetings
  • Excellent editorial skills
  • Experience of producing news items
  • Interest and high level of engagement in social media
  • Ability to analyse the results of digital analytics including Google Analytics
  • Interest in pastoralism and/or the environment is an advantage

Remuneration: Lunch and travel are covered for office visits.
